Kia Ora...
Drawing, painting and making things has been my passion for as long as I can remember. This is me when I was a child, first thing in the morning in my pyjamas drawing. Creating is still my favourite thing to do and place to be.
I make my images with a variety of media, including traditional materials such as watercolour, gouache, pencils, crayon , printmaking and collage, as well as using digital technologies. I also like to paint with oils.
I live in a small city in Aotearoa, New Zealand with my musical husband, daughter and cat, Picasso. I am Pākehā, with ancestry from Scotland and England. I worked in education as a high school art teacher for several years, before leaving that to pursue my passion for illustration.
I am a SCBWI member.
